This golf season has seen us continue our relationship with one of Scotland most prestigious golf courses The Gleneagels Hotel. Gleneagles which opened in 1924 is arguably one of Scotland’s finest and most exclusive golf resorts, and has played host to a number of major completions over the years and even held a G8 summit in 2005. We were extremely proud last year to have been asked to supply over 300 golf and utility vehicles to the Ryder Cup at Gleneagels, and this year we are equally proud to become the main supplier of permanent on site golf buggy’s for the club. Our involvement in last year’s Ryder Cup was a resounding success for us. Without a doubt the exposure we received from the high profile event alongside the contacts we made has contributed to this year’s success in golf in Scotland.
This spring has seen our drivers make more than a few trips to Auchterader in Perthshire to deliver 40 brand new Club Car Precedent golf buggy’s to the iconic Scottish course. As with everything else at Gleneagles the club has opted for nothing but the best when it came to their golf buggy’s, and all carts are fitted with Club Cars state of the art visage system. This features a LCD display screen above the drivers head which provides a range of useful information including, accurate GPS hole mapping , up to date weather alerts and even allows golfers to order their meals or beverages so it is ready and waiting in the clubhouse after the game.
Andrew Fairnie, Golf Services Manager at The Gleneagles Hotel, recently said: “Our guests have high expectations when they come to golf at Gleneagles, and the classic aesthetics and high quality finish on the Club Car vehicles have met their needs perfectly. The GPS system in particular has been very popular – in addition to providing course information, it even allows golfers to email themselves their score card to review at home.”
