Carryway has recently supplied Breckonborough Equestrian Ltd with a number of golf and utility vehicles for use at this year’s Richmond Horse Trails. The trials at Richmond takes place over 3 days at the end of August and feature a broad range of riding competitions. Located on the border of North Yorkshire and County Durham the event attracts a large number of visitors and competitors from the surrounding area, as well as further afield.
This year we supplied the event with three petrol Club Car buggies, as well as one Carryall 550 utility vehicle for use at the trials. The vehicles were all supplied from our North East depot which is located just outside of Newcastle upon Tyne in Chester-Le-Street. The four petrol vehicles which were hired played a pivotal role in the smooth running of the event, in transporting staff and equipment from one side of the large site to the other quickly and easily. The vehicles were also used to transport spectators around the site which featured steep hills and some rough terrain which some guests may have found difficult to walk up.
All the vehicles provided on hire from Carryway featured Club Cars latest highly efficient petrol engine, a Subaru 404cc featuring EFI (electronic fuel injection) technology. The new engine features an impressive 50% reduction in fuel consumption and still manages to deliver 30% more power than the engine used in older vehicles. The new engine is also significantly quieter than the previous model.
