Club Car at BTME 2016

For three cold days in January, central Harrogate is taken over by an army of greenkeepers, course managers and golf secretaries who come to attend what is arguably one of the years biggest and most important gatherings for the golf club management industry Bigga’s BTME.

As the official Club Car Golf & Utility Vehicle dealers for Yorkshire, Carryway played a vital role in the set up and management of the Club Car exhibition stand at this year’s event. Carryway staff from our head office in West Yorkshire where met by colleagues who travelled from our branches in Scotland and County Durham to man the stand over the 3 days. Paul Hunt, Carryway depot manager explained “We have exhibited in some way at BTME for many years and find it a great way to meet up with contacts from within the industry, and to show them some of the new and innovative equipment which we can offer alongside the standard golf and utility vehicles many already know about”.

Club Cars new Carryall Utility Vehicle range which was released in early 2014 made up the bulk of the exhibited equipment. We were impressed with the level of interest these vehicles received throughout the 3 days, with many greenkeepers interested in the VersAttach cargo bed add-ons which allows the user to carry equipment and tools outside of the cargo bed, increasing the load space of the vehicle. The lockable van box was also a big hit with visitors from the parks and resort industry who saw how the vehicle would be ideal for transporting laundry and cleaning equipment around a large facility.
